The The Center for Violence Free Relationships works to prevent and eliminate sexual assault and domestic violence in our community. We work to respond to the needs of those affected by sexual assault and domestic violence by providing high-quality, comprehensive services at low or no cost.

How The The Center for Violence Free Relationships Can Help

  • CRISIS LINE:
    A trained peer counselor is available 24 hours a day to offer support, crisis intervention and referral for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and their families.

  • SHELTER:
    Temporary residence for battered women and their children.

  • CRISIS COUNSELING:
    Individual sessions are offered in English and in Spanish by appointment and drop-in, as available. Weekly group counseling is offered on a drop-in basis.

  • LEGAL SERVICES:
    The Center provides victims of domestic violence and sexual assault with assistance in obtaining temporary restraining orders, divorces and child custody modification agreements. Court accompaniment and advocacy with criminal justice agencies are also provided.

  • CHILDREN'S SERVICES:
    Crisis counseling is provided by staff and trained volunteers for children who are current or former residents of The Center's shelter. Parenting training for mothers in shelter is also available.

  • ADVOCACY AND ACCOMPANIMENT:
    With legal, medical and social services.

  • BATTERERS' INTERVENTION:
    Counseling groups are offered weekly for court-mandated and self-referred men and women who batter. Groups for men are offered in English and in Spanish.
