Power Returns after Fourth Outage, Offices to Reopen (10/31/2019)

October 31, 2019 7:00 AM: Although there are still 8 outages affecting more than 1000 customers in Placerville, power is restored at the Center. Due to gusty winds and dry conditions, combined with a heightened fire risk, Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) turned off power at The Center’s office on October 29, 2019 at 9:02 AM. This was the fourth power outage lasting more than 48 hours in the last three weeks.

Communications to The Center via phone and email are not possible without power. Any calls made to the office will be directed to the Crisis Line, which is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. Appointments, counseling sessions, groups, and classes will be cancelled during an outage, pending restoration of power, and reopening of the Center’s business offices.
