“Both my husband and my sister experienced domestic violence at various points in their lives, so the issue is personal for me. The Center is unique in its holistic approach to addressing the range of people touched by violence – from victims and abusers to witnesses. We cannot be healthy as society unless we are all healthy. The Center has excellent programs and it well regarded in the community.”

Jennifer is a retired English professor. She taught English and American literature in New York, St Louis, and most recently at Cal State San Bernardino. Since retirement, she has focused on community service with non-profits. Her time and talent contributions include work with the Ponderosa High School Foundation, the Women’s Fund, the Salvation Army. Jennifer is an animal lover who keeps horses, sheep, and chickens. She currently has two dogs and she has fostered Great Pyrenees dogs for more than a decade.
