Vernon Hills is passionate about helping others overcome life’s challenges. He brings 19 years of nonprofit fundraising experience to his role as director of Development for the Center. Vernon has a strong record of building successful fundraising teams that are both collaborative and mission driven.

Vernon spent 20 years in the private sector as a professional recruiter before transitioning to the non-profit world.

Vernon’s professional experience includes raising funds for the homeless, long-term addiction programs for both men and women, affordable housing, domestic violence victims and their families, foster youth, and social services wraparound programs.

In his spare time, Vernon loves firing up the smoker at home, as well as cooking in general. He also enjoys traveling with the Hills family both locally and abroad. Vernon was raised in the United Kingdom and has made his home in California for the last 30 years.
